Meeting called to order at 7:00 pm, by Chairman, Russell Bailey.    Present were Russell Bailey, Ken Bodeen, Scott Jardine, Marge Ogren, Pam Holt, Nora Tribys, Brett Bodeen, DuWayne Zupke and Troy Kavajecz.  Pledge of Allegiance.       Motion was made to accept the minutes as presented by Ken, second by Scott.  All in favor.   Motion was made by Scott to accept the treasurer’s report with a second by Ken.  All in favor.

Citizen’s Input – none

ON GOING BUSINESS: 

            Kinney Valley Road Bridge Update – Board of Commissions of Public Lands form to fill out for loan to complete the project.  Bids to let out in January or February.

Water/Sewer & Land Use at 82930 White Birch Road.  No digging yet.

Sewer repair – 9300 Gust Road. Project is complete

Ken reported on LRIP meeting.  Ken will be meeting in Washburn on the 15th and 18th to decide on projects.

Old Hwy 13 – Russell spoke with Trusty Trucking There are 3 bad spots and will be taking out rock.

NEW BUSINESS:

Fire Dept/Ambulance reports read.

Wheeler Restoration Site – Discussed printing of flyers for the site that were put together by the DNR.  DNR will be providing 50 copies for distribution. Review quote from printer.  We will not order brochures at this time.  Walking trail probably cannot be easily completed because three culverts were removed from back road.

Reviewed Governor Evers Declaration of Election Hero Day November 1st. Motion was made by Scott to appoint election officials for 2022-2023 as follows:  William Bodeen, Marjorie Ogren, Pamela Lawrenz Holt, Eleanora Tribys, Janice Beth Lynn, Karen Anderson, Ken Bodeen, Ciel Held, Brett Bodeen and Eileen McKay.  Second by Ken.  All in favor.

Dump Hours during December Holidays – Instead of Dec 25 and Jan 1 (which are Saturdays) they will be Dec 24 and Dec 31 from 9-2.  Pam will put up flyers.

ZONING REQUESTS:   South Shore School Sign approved.

OPERATOR’S INPUT:  Troy reported on recent activities of the Town Crew:  Grinder pump on Gust Road installed and working.  Installed new pump at sewer plant.  We need to replace another pump at sewer plant.  Troy is looking for other distributors in the area.  There are not many large pump vendors.  Salt sand delivered.  The Fire dept truck that we are trying to sell will not start.

 

Budget workshop.  Reviewed variances from last year including Health & Recreation project/grant/donations, Loan needed to complete Kinney Bridge, increase for 4 elections next year and new equipment required by the State.  Reduced gravel budget and designated need for blacktop in the budget.  Need to reduce fire department budget, but will inform the Town of Orienta that they need to help make up the difference.

Next meeting set for Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at 7pm which will include approval of the 2022 Budget.  Meeting adjourned by Ken with a second by Scott.  All in favor.
