NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Town Board Meeting for the Town of Port Wing, in the county of Bayfield, State of Wisconsin, for transaction of business as is by law required or permitted to be transacted at such meeting will be will be held at the Port Wing Fire Hall:

JANUARY 16, 2025 THURSDAY @ 7pm (at Fire Hall)

FOR THE PURPOSE OF:

READING OF THE MINUTES, AND TREASURER’S REPORTS.

CITIZEN INPUT:

• Planning Commission –Dock Grant update. Application to WI DNR grant and 3 yr harbor plan.

FIRE DEPARTMENT REPORT:

• Updates from the Fire Department/Ambulance report

• Need purchase info on DNR grant for turn out gear. Need to have spent $18,200 to get reimbursed for $9,100.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS:

• Solar/EV Projects – Bill Bailey to address board (around 8pm)

• Blacktop/Road projects -any updates?

• Emergency Plan and Policy Handbook

• Town Equipment Inventory & Assessment

• Wheeler Wetland Restoration Site – DNR is interested in buying land – any update?

• Electricity at Dump

• Reminder – Bayfield County Land Use Development meeting Jan 27th 3-4pm. Scheduled at Town Hall – but will redirect people to Fire Hall

• Caucus Jan 18 at 10am at Fire Hall. Nominations for Town Elected Officials. (Chair, Supervisors, Clerk, Treasurer)

NEW BUSINESS:

• Windows 11 for town laptop.

• Loan for Kinney Valley Culvert due March 15th. Need to file grant paperwork.

• Northwoods Technical College looking for Board Members

• Water/Sanitary District payroll added to Town Payroll (Quarterly).
