Meeting called to order at 8:45pm, by Chairman, Scott Jardine. Present were Scott Jardine, Ken Bodeen, Carri Hoagland, Pam Holt, Nora Tribys, Brett Bodeen, and Sam Kurland. Motion was made to accept the meeting minutes from 3-10-2024 by Carri Hoagland, second by Ken Bodeen. All in favor. Motion was made by Ken Bodeen, second by Carri Hoagland to accept the March 2025 Treasurer report. All in favor.
Citizen’s Input – Planning Commission. Motion made by Ken Bodeen to nominate Judy Moyer and Mark Johnson for a three-year term on the Planning Commission. Second by Carri Hoagland. All in favor. Motion made by Ken Bodeen to pass the updated Park Commission Ordinance. Second by Carri Hoagland. All in favor.
Fire Department/EMT. Reviewed Fire Department and EMT reports.
ON GOING BUSINESS:
• Solar Project/EV/Microgrid – no new update.
• Blacktop/Road projects –Still unsure regarding date of Highway 13 re-pavement project.
• Town Policy Handbook – tabled for further work to be completed.
• Equipment Database – tabled – on going project.
• Kinney Valley Grant report – submitted by Ken Bodeen for reimbursement
NEW BUSINESS:
• Shiela Bergman will act as the new Town Hall Scheduler for all events.
• Need to get passwords for the town internet access points
• Grand Avenue Bids to be advertised – will open and review at May 12th town meeting.
• Bayfield County asked if we have a speed limit ordinance. No intent to create one.
• Leann Hess will review the Wisconsin Historical Records Landscape Survey
• Security Bank online access was discussed and tabled.
ZONING REQUESTS: Reviewed 9505 Lakeview Road addition and discussed School Road parcel issue.
TOWN CREW REPORT: Awarded Road $4,000 road aid from County for Battle Axe & Almstead. Starting dragging and grading roads. Switching equipment over from winter to spring. Filled pot holes. Working on wastewater plant maintenance. Sam attended WRWA Conference and received 18 credits. Locks placed on dumpsters and recycling.
Will worked on docs, speed limit signs on Quarry Rd., Flush Hydrants
Next meeting set May 12, 2025 7pm. There will be a Special Town Meeting to discuss the option of authorizing the town board to exercise village powers AT TOWN HALL at 7pm.
