Meeting called to order at 7:00 pm, by Chairman, Scott Jardine. Present were Scott Jardine, Ken Bodeen, Carri Hoagland, Pam Holt, Nora Tribys, Brett Bodeen, Troy Kavajecz, and Sam Kurland. Motion was made to accept the meeting minutes from 8-11-2025 by Ken Bodeen, second by Carri Hoagland. All in favor. Motion was made by Carri Hoagland, second by Ken Bodeen to accept the August 2025 Treasurer report. All in favor.

Citizen’s Input – Planning Committee. No update. Park Commission -Leann Hess reported on Twin Falls parking area and repair of restroom roof/structure. Vendors on Town Property/Events – application must include exactly what items will be sold. Discussed prohibiting any political merchandise. Discussed if weapon sales should be allowed.

Fire Department/EMT. Reviewed Fire Department and EMT reports. Discussed expiration dates on Fire Fighting equipment/gear. Need to find a way to get our gear UL tested.

ON GOING BUSINESS:

Grand Ave Blacktop project has not yet started.

Kinney Valley culvert amendment signed by Scott Jardine and will be submitted.

Town Policy Handbook – need to update for sewer & water information

Solar Project – ongoing.

Driveway/Private Road – need to get a list of all private roads in Port Wing. Driveways out of compliance will need to fix or sign a waiver for knowledge of the possibility of no Fire/EMS vehicle access. Will contact WI Town Assn to assist in drafting the waiver.

NEW BUSINESS:

Reviewed Managed Forest Law list.

ZONING REQUESTS: Reviewed new Land Use applications (already approved by Bayfield County).

TOWN CREW REPORT: Brett Bodine discussed rates for recycling/garbage disposal. The prepaid garbage bags are not holding up well and we may need to order new bags. Discussed if we should have an annual fee for recycling disposal. Troy Kavajecz reporting on gravel projects – we are a bit over budget. Old 13 still needs work. Prepping for a water tower inspection. Still waiting for sewer plant electric repair. Using up blacktop patch. Discussed septic tank dumping and need to research how much has been dumped this year compared to prior years. Snow plow fees will remain at $200/season.

Next meeting set for October 14th (TUESDAY) at 7pm. Meeting adjourned by Ken Bodeen, second by Carri Hoagland. All in favor.
