Meeting called to order at 7pm, by Chairman, Scott Jardine. Present were Scott Jardine, Nora Tribys, Ken Bodeen, Carri Hoagland, Pam Holt, Brett Bodeen, Troy Kavajecz and Sam Kurland. Motion was made to accept the meeting minutes from 10-15-2024 by Carri Hoagland, second by Ken Bodeen. All in favor. Motion was made by Ken Bodeen, second by Carri Hoagland to accept the October 2024 Treasurer report. All in favor.

Citizen’s Input – Planning Commission. Town Board swore in Bill Hettler, Terri Zivic and Ken Zivic as Planning Commission members. Dock grants are still ongoing – no determination if we are eligible because land is owned by Federal Government.

Fire Department/EMT. Reviewed Fire Department and EMT reports.

ON GOING BUSINESS:

South Shore School referendum – the referendum passed. Improvements will move forward.

Solar Project/EV/Microgrid – updated board on Dept of Energy tour. Discussed layout of array around Well site and the possibility of needing more space. They requested “As Built” plans on all the buildings.

Blacktop/Road projects –Still need to complete grant paperwork on Kinney Valley culvert project. Received email from Larry Fickbohm regarding Highway “H” to “A” pavement – he said it is scheduled for “next summer”. Pam will reach out for clarity on if “next” means summer 2025 or 2026.

Town Policy Handbook – tabled for further work to be completed.

Equipment Database – still working on updating the information.

Wheeler Restoration Site – Carri in communication with the DNR to find out more details. DNR will be in town on December 4th and we will meet with them to gather more details. Planning Commission has requested to attend this meeting.

Reviewed snow plow list and will adjust as discussed.

NEW BUSINESS:

Electricity at Dump/Recycle Center – will be getting a quote from Benson Electric.

Street signs around town. Need to research requirements for reflective signs. Crew to straighten out signs as needed. Speed limit signs on Quarry Road have been installed.

Re-zoning property on School Road – will need to go through county process. The current use does not conform with current zoning.

Double wide trailers – zoning in town. Again – need to follow the county zoning. Washington Avenue is currently set to commercial and need to consider if we want/need that changed.

Kitchen Stove in Town Hall – just needs exhaust repair/replacement. Stove works. Tygar is looking at what is required to bring it to code.

ZONING REQUESTS: None

TOWN CREW REPORT: Crew working on general maintenance – docks, bathrooms, water shut off. Worked on weeds in sand bed at sewer plant. Worked on sander on the plow truck. Finishing up brush work on Battle Axe.

Next meeting set for Dec 9th, 2024, at 7pm AT FIRE HALL. Final approval of Budget will be on December 2nd at 8am at

FIRE HALL. Meeting adjourned by Carri Hoagland, second by Ken Bodeen. All in favor.
