Present were Scott Jardine, Ken Bodeen, Carri Hoagland, Pam Holt, Nora Tribys, Brett Bodeen, Troy Kavajecz, Sharon Graham and Sheila Bergman. Motion was made to accept the meeting minutes from 11-13-2025 by Carri Hoagland, second by Ken Bodeen. All in favor. Motion was made by Ken Bodeen, second by Carri Hoagland to accept the November 2025 Treasurer report. All in favor.
• Citizen’s Input – Planning Committee. Sharon Graham – Bathroom at Twin Falls has been repaired and updated. Many thanks to Ken Zivic, Bill Hetler and Greg Melis for all their hard work! Sharon will present a report at the next town meeting summarizing the accomplishments this past year. Sharon would like the Town Board to approve hiring an engineer for the Dock project. It is necessary for the Army Corp of Engineers and any Grant submission for the improvements/repairs. Scott agrees that the town board needs to agree on a “plan” before hiring an engineer. There are four main areas of concern – 1. Boat Ramp 2. Bulkhead 3. Finger Docks and 4. West dock. We need to contact the Army Corp to understand what they consider “maintenance” vs “construction”. Pam Holt will resend the Army Corp lease out to the Town Board members. Scott Jardine will make a list of repairs with drawings.
Park Commission/Town Hall.
-Sheila Bergman – will start looking for Grants for updates needed at the town hall (windows, acoustics, etc.). Need quote on commercial vent in the kitchen. Bathroom plumbing needs repairs – water issue with the plumbing between the men’s and women’s bathrooms. Pickle Ball players donated $120 to the town for use of the Town Hall. Many light bulbs are burnt out. Ceiling fans need cleaning (need to borrow lift). Gas smell is back – Troy will investigate. Historical Society has graciously offered to pay for the toilet replacements at the old fire hall. Sheila brought up issue of when the town hall should be open to the public.
• Fire Department/EMT. Scott Jardine attended the last Fire Department meeting. There are concerns over the truck in Orienta (do we need it) and the #3 pumper. The #3 pumper is four-wheel drive and that is critical in many instances when responding to an emergency. Scott also mentioned the members should get some amount of a stipend for attending training. He suggested to the Fire Department officers to come up with a plan and present it to the board. There have also been discussions in charging a fee when they respond to a call. Pam Holt will research if this would impact our levy limit.
