Meeting called to order at 7:00 pm, by Chairman, Russell Bailey.    Present were Russell Bailey, Ken Bodeen, Pam Holt, Marge Ogren and Nora Tribys. Pledge of Allegiance.

 

Citizen’s Input

ON GOING BUSINESS: 

Fire Dept Vehicle Sale Bid Opening: Mike Anderson $875, John Tuura $1,000, Ray Kangas $1,001, Larry Kiggins $1,025.00, Howard Nicholson $1,270 and John Quam $1,551.25.

 

Virtual Bid Opening for Kinney Vally Road Bridge: Veit & Company, Inc $182,950.00, Ashland Construction, Inc. $178,810.00, Northern Interstate Construction, Inc. $148,250.00, Ashland Sand and Gravel, 146,799.02, Olson Brothers Contractors of Brule, WI Inc., $141,145.72, Sipsas Excavating $139,980.00, Ritola Inc. $139,123.00, Wren Works $104,993.00 and Tyler’s Excavating LLC $89,975.  Awarding of Bid – date TBD.

 

Funding for Infrastructure Grant with DOT and BIL – Ken working on submitting application for Grand Ave., White Birch Road and Touve Road.  Motion to approve Ken Bodeen for access to WISLR maps moved by Russell Bailey, second by Ken Bodeen.  All in Favor.

ARPA Funds – we will be repairing the sewer line pipe on Braff Road.  Russell met with Rocky Tribovich to inspect the site.  We will have to install a manhole as part of the new requirements.  Rocky will submit a quote for the project.  They also inspected the alley between Washington/Wisconsin and Helsing/Okerstrom for adding sewer.

Grant Writing update – Pam Holt met with Erin Hutchinson to discuss having her assist with writing grants for the Town of Port Wing.

NEW BUSINESS:

Lawn Maintenance for 2022 – Steve Gustafson will be returning as part of the town crew.  Motion made by Ken Bodeen to approve rate of $17/hour.  Second by Russell Bailey.  All in favor.

ZONING REQUESTS:   None

OPERATOR’S INPUT:  None

Next meeting set for Wednesday, April 19, 2022 immediately following the Annual Meeting that starts at 7pm. Meeting adjourned by Russell Bailiey with a second by Ken Bodeen.  All in favor.
