Meeting called to order at 7 pm, by Chairman, Russell Bailey. Pledge of Allegiance. Present were Russell Bailey, Ken Bodeen, Scott Jardine, Pam Holt, Nora Tribys, Brett Bodeen, DuWayne Zupke and Troy Kavajecz. Motion was made to accept the meeting minutes from 2-13-2023 by Scott Jardine, second by Ken Bodeen. All in favor. Motion was made by Scott Jardine to accept the February 2023 Treasurer report, second by Ken Bodeen. All in favor.

Citizen’s Input –

• Xcel Energy– Murray Smerer from Xcel Energy addressed the board with information concerning the work that will be completed in Port Wing. New substation, replacing transmission lines through town and burying lines down Touve Road past Sherman Road. Suggested the town consider installing electric to the recycle center since they will be right there.
• Planning Committee. Nothing to report.
• Fire Department/EMT. Ambulance report read. Fire Department reports reviewed.

ON GOING BUSINESS:

• Solar Project – Bill Bailey will be at next meeting to discuss options.
• Blacktop projects – Ken working on new submittals for grants.
• Reviewed and signed South Shore Ambulance Contract for 2023
• Liquor License – Jardine’s South Shore Bar. Will review application and will be on agenda for approval in April.

NEW BUSINESS:

• 83345 Washington Avenue. Eric Johnson (owner) reported that he will look into what needs to be done to make the property safe.
• Bayfield County License Fee Ordinance Amendment reviewed
• Forestry Aid Request – will put together request for East Fay Rd.
• Health and Rec Grant will be available soon
• Reviewed BIL discretional grants
• Election April 4th – Town elected officials will be on the ballot
• Reviewed 84300 Klaung Road DNR variance for well.

ZONING REQUESTS: None

OPERATOR’S INPUT: Troy reported that they have been working on pushing back snow. Brett has been helping with back hoe. We need to be able to locate water lines for Xcel soil borings. Motion made by Ken Bodeen to hire Jeremiah Hanson to find water lines.

Next meeting set for Monday April 10, 2023 at 7pm. Annual Town Meeting is set for April 18, 2023 at 7pm. Meeting adjourned by Scott Jardine, a second by Ken Bodeen. All in favor.
