Bayfield County Invites Public Input on Bicycle, Pedestrian, and Trail Planning Efforts

Bayfield County residents, property owners, trail users, businesses, and visitors are invited to participate in upcoming public input opportunities for the Bayfield County Bike & Pedestrian Plan. The plan will guide future investments in walking and bicycling infrastructure, improve safety and connectivity, and help identify priority projects throughout the county. Community input is critical to ensuring that the plan reflects local needs and priorities.

This meeting will focus on the Bayfield County Bike & Pedestrian Plan and provide an opportunity for residents to share ideas, concerns, and project suggestions related to walking and bicycling throughout the county.

This meeting will serve as a joint public open house and interactive input session for both the Bayfield County Bike & Pedestrian Plan and the Bayfield Peninsula Trails Plan. Participants will have the opportunity to provide input on bicycle and pedestrian improvements as well as future trail development and connectivity across the Bayfield Peninsula.

Both events will begin with an informal open house at 5:00 PM, followed by an interactive input session. Topics will include:

  • Walking and bicycling conditions and opportunities
    • Transportation safety concerns
    • Recreation and tourism opportunities
    • Connections between communities and destinations
    • Priority projects and future investments

Whether you walk, bike, run, use local trails, operate a business, or simply care about the future of transportation and recreation in Bayfield County, we encourage you to attend and share your perspective.
