Meeting called to order at 7pm, by Chairman, Scott Jardine. Present were Scott Jardine, Ken Bodeen, Carri Hoagland, Pam Holt, Nora Tribys, Brett Bodeen, Troy Kavajecz and Sam Kurland. Motion was made to accept the meeting minutes from 6-17-24 by Carri Hoagland, second by Ken Bodeen. All in favor.

Motion was made by Ken Bodeen, second by Carri Hoagland to accept the June 2024 Treasurer report. All in favor.

Citizen’s Input – Kelly Westland from the UW Extension presented Housing Initiatives for Bayfield County residents.

Laurie Gucinski presented opportunity to purchase an AED device for the Town Hall with community donations from the Fig Leaf Thrift Store, Lion’s Club and Fish Boil Club. The town board agreed to pick up and balance to pay for the unit.

Fire Department/EMT. Reviewed Fire Department and EMT reports.

ON GOING BUSINESS:

Solar Project/EV/Microgrid – Scott Jardine attended Solar seminar in Ashland. Discussed EVC availability (Electric Vehicle Charging stations)

Blacktop projects –received funding for Grand Avenue between Okerstrom and School Road repair/replacement. Town’s portion will be approximately $43k (50%). Need to produce ad for a bid for Engineer.

Wisconsin DOT – Speed Limit through town/Crosswalks. No updates

South Shore School Improvements – no update

Clean up day for June 22nd – postponed because of weather.

Driveway ordinances – tabled – will get scanned copies to board for review.

NEW BUSINESS:

Reviewed Bayfield County Amendment for Mobile Support Towers

Review Bayfield County Amendatory Ordinance for Flowing Wells

ZONING REQUESTS: Paul Albert Isaksson – non-metallic mining renewal land use permit from Bayfield County approved and signed by the board.

OPERATOR’S INPUT: Need culvert replacement on White Birch and Grand Avue. Culverts damaged on bottom of Touve Hill. Need for repairs on grader- tabled for discussion to be put on agenda for August.

Brett is helping on roads. Old 13 is washed out. Oil pan on Ford Dump Truck has leak – need to repair.

We have petitioned for County Bridge aid on Flagg River Road just below the Port.

Next meeting set for August 12, 2024, at 7pm AT FIRE HALL Meeting adjourned by Carri Hoagland, second by Ken Bodeen. All in favor.
