Town of Port Wing

History

The Lake Superior harbor area in Port Wing is leased by the Corps of Engineers. The Town of Port Wing manages the amenities in the park area.

Visitors can find picnic areas, docks, boat launch and pay station, restrooms, and a pier along the breakwater. The Port Wing Area Business Association constructed the boardwalk along Lake Superior.

There is also a historical kiosk displaying the early 1900's history--shipping, logging, quarrying--contributing to the early growth of Port Wing
